Rory Maguire - Artists Bio

Rory is a contemporary artist working in London, whose practice is deeply informed by his transition from traditional oil portraiture to multi-disciplinary environmental interventions.

His work utilizes painting, sculpture, staged photography, and film to interrogate ecological grief and the "shifting baselines" of biodiversity, specifically the decline of wildlife such as insects and the Atlantic salmon.

Rory is currently in the second year of his BA in Contemporary Portraiture, where he is developing a body of work that bridges personal memory with the urgent realities of the "windscreen phenomenon."
