About

Rory is a portrait artist typically using oil paint on canvas, to capture fleeting gestures and portray character and personality. Using his expressive, impressionistic style he investigates emotions within our human relationships to render nuances of tension and humour especially within the context of Dads and daughters.

He is currently studying for a BA in Contemporary Portraiture at the Art Academy London.

His portraits have featured in “Portraits for NHS Heroes”, a book initiated by Contemporary Artists during Covid, as a thank you to NHS staff, on Googles Arts and Culture, and in Contemporary Art Exhibitions in and around London including Nolias gallery 2023, and The Art Academy, Bankside gallery 2024.
